It’s sad but true but the stress of two wedding locations can often ruin a dream wedding. You only get this day once so if it is the case of fretting over a logistic nightmare, you must read on!
Our Northrepps couple had an overwhelming sentimental tie to their local church; there was no other place in the world that they would consider (which we strongly admired). Booking their ceremony was simple but when they started to look into wedding reception venues, this is where things got tricky. We all love the North Norfolk coast but suitable wedding venues are a little scarce. In this situation, most couples would take a step back and reconsider a civil ceremony but this bride and groom were determined to make this work.
The couples favourite and closest wedding venue (Elm Farm Country House) was roughly an hour’s drive away. The parking by Northrepps Church was limited, they wanted their guests to arrive at the same time and enjoy an alcoholic beverage (or few)! More importantly, this journey would be eating up at least an hour of their wedding day so it needed to be fun and be a build up to arriving at the wedding reception.
You guessed it from the title... the problematic one hour drive was saved from the hire of a bus. Not just any bus, but a stunning vintage red London Routemaster Double Decker Bus. This choice of wedding transportation was perfect; it comfortably seated all of the guests and was decorated floor to ceiling with ribbon and white roses.
The wedding guests loved it!
The fretted buzz kill journey transformed into fun and laughter and as you can see on your right, made great memories.
